At the heart of Albert Jagger’s operations, lies a sense of community. We believe in the power of community support and giving back, and that’s why we support our local charity, Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Acorns Children’s Hospice is a much-loved Walsall charity, providing specialist palliative care for babies, children, and young people, all whilst providing support to their families.
Our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others goes beyond our business operations. We understand the importance of the work they do, by raising funds to support such efforts ensures we can create a brighter future for all.
Here’s a highlight into our recent efforts on behalf of the charity.
A team of employees participated in the Wolf Run this Spring. The event saw members take on a range of mud runs and obstacles in the highly rewarding challenge. 10km of mud pits, water slides, and crawling tunnels, saw the team raise an impressive £1,257 for the invaluable services provided by Acorns.
The Room to Grow Appeal was launched in 2022, with the aim to raise £750,000 towards much-needed facility improvements. Following a difficult 2019, the future of the hospice was secured in 2021 thanks to the local community, but due to financial constraints, refurbishment hasn’t been possible over the years.
Albert Jagger contributed to the local appeal, which helped towards the transformation project, upgrading children’s bedrooms, family care suite and building a brand-new, purpose-built arts and crafts room, expanding the dining room.
Through our participation in charity runs and initiatives like the Room to Grow Appeal, we are proud to stand alongside Acorns Children’s Hospice in their mission to provide compassionate care and support to children and families facing challenging circumstances.
