We understand that grassroots football is the heart and soul of the ‘Nations Favourite Sport’, and we are excited to contribute to its growth and impact in our local community.
Our Sponsored Teams
AFC White Horse is an adults team competing in the Wolverhampton District Sunday League. The club was established in 2002, and we take pride in our New Product Introduction Engineer, Chris Hoult, who has been passionately managing and chairing the club since 2009, from the young age of 24. AFC White Horse’s journey is an inspiring one, having worked their way up from Wolverhampton Division 9 to Wolverhampton Division 1, as of last season.
The Black Country Pirates JFC is a brand new under 11s football team competing in the Stourbridge District Youth Football League. Managed by our own Business Development Manager, Jack Norrie, the club was established with the vision of providing children with a platform to showcase their talent and love for the game.
What is Grassroots Football?
Grassroots football is the foundation upon which the sport thrives, it is the very essence of our communities, bringing people together and nurturing talent. Its significance goes beyond mere competition; it touches the lives of both players and supporters alike.
Sport plays a pivotal role in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, not only enhancing physical fitness but positively impacting mental health. The Football Association (A) reports an astounding 66,500 cases where taking part in grassroots football has reduced depression and anxiety among children alone, with 203,300 cases among adults.
Grassroots football embraces diversity and inclusion, welcoming people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. It offers a level playing field with a sense of belonging and a platform to showcase skills. By supporting grassroots football, we promote equal opportunities for individuals from various walks of life.
Behind every football player and team, is an inspiring coach. These coaches play a pivotal role in nurturing talent, teaching essential skills, and imparting valuable life lessons. This is why we’re proud of both Chris Hoult and Jack Norrie for their roles, leading by example, serving as role models for the next generations of players, instilling discipline, teamwork, and determination.
