A new energy at AJ New Zealand

Albert Jagger’s ‘Going Green’ scheme has gone global!

Increasing concerns over global warming has come to the forefront for businesses to focus on how they can help combat climate change. It is important as a group that Albert Jagger take on the responsibility of reducing their carbon footprint.

An investment of $60,000 NZD will see installation of a 44kW solar panel system. Albert Jagger New Zealand will become 63% self-sufficient, generating 50% of power supply on a sunny day. Although this investment will reduce carbon footprint, green-house gas (GHG) emissions will still be high. To offset this, outside working hours, the solar panel system will feed all generated power back into the grid.

Not only does this investment support the Albert Jagger ‘Going Green’ scheme by reducing the number of emissions generated but will also benefit customers. With utility costs rising, product price increases are inventible, the solar panel system will reduce the need for future price increases.

“Building a more sustainable business is integral to our success. Being environmentally conscious will see changes being implemented. We’re committed to environmental initiatives and generating our own energy source is the first of many as we look to a clean energy future.”
