Decking materials can consist of a variety of materials ranging from traditional timber strips such as teak to modern, high-tech anti-slip composites and prefabricated sheet panels. When bonded to a wide variety of substrates such as aluminium, GRP or steel they are expected to withstand adverse weather conditions typically found at sea, with extreme fluctuations in humidity and heat, and extended periods of to both UV light and moisture.
Kömmerling Marine deck bonding compounds feature excellent gap filling characteristics and offer outstanding acoustic and vibration damping on applications with multiple substrates. Easy to spread, they feature long open times which allows accurate positioning of decking material and combine high-performance adhesion to a vast array of substrates with permanent elasticity which allows exceptional tolerance to extreme dynamic stresses.
Note: Due to diversity of substrates, preliminary testing is always recommended.
